With forty years of experience in broadcast programming, content and management and a diverse background that includes major and small market radio in a variety of formats, Abby Goldstein is uniquely positioned to understand the complexities of today’s public media environment. She began her career as a late-night jazz host at KVLU in Beaumont, Texas where her mother ran the membership program. Abby then spent two decades in Dallas, Texas working in public and commercial radio, event production and music promotion. In 2006, she became VP for Programming at New Hampshire Public Radio and in 2012 she became General Manager of WYEP in Pittsburgh where she led the station to unprecedented audience and revenue growth. She now serves as President & Executive Director of PMCC, the Public Media Content Collective, a national association that provides education, training and research for public media programming and content professionals. Abby is a frequent conference speaker and moderator and has served on many local and national boards. She lives in Pittsburgh, PA with her husband and is an avid home baker.
